Walker Butte K-2 Library and 3-8 Library Year-End Events

 

The library is asking students to sign-up for Scholastic’s Summer Reading Program.  Students can go to www.scholastic.com/summer to sign-up for the program which began on May 1st and continues until August 31st.  Students in grades K-8 are invited to join the program and log their minutes as they Read for the World Record.

 

The second event is Scholastic’s One for Books Program.  The program will begin on Monday, May 14th and run through Thursday, May 24th.  Students are encouraged to bring in a monetary donation during this time period.  Scholastic will double the amount of the donation and donate one book for each dollar collected to non-profit organizations.

 

The last upcoming event is a Buy-One-Get-One Book Fair to be held throughout the week of May 21st.  8:30am to 4:00am ~ Monday, Wednesday & Friday; 8:30am to 6:00pm ~ Tuesday & Thursday

Kindergarten Registration Going On Now!

Kindergarten Screening Dates:
April 10th  4-6
May 8th  4-6
June 6th  8-12 1-4
June 20th  8-12 1-4
July 10th  8-12 1-4

Parents: If you have not pre-registered your child, please bring your childs birth certificate, shot records, proof of residency (ie: utilities bill) and an ID.

Your child will be tested this day by a Kindergarten teacher.
